Activitiy 4.4 Ebhotwe Primary School : school-based partnerships

"Inclusive education is not about being perfect it’s about understanding the strengths and the can do’s of the particular person”

Considering this quote, I would present documented proof of the abilities of children with disabilities based on their strengths and what they may need to work forward. I would also produce proposals that can work to make the links necessary to move towards inclusive schooling. One challenge that we may experience is the willingness of the outside entities to contribute to the cause.

School-Based Partnership

Having viewed the presentation I believe that Education on the whole cannot stand on its own. Therefore, at some point in time all schools need to be in coordination and ensure that there is  optimum effective communication amongst all stakeholders. Partnership with NGO's acts as a buffer to support those school and families that are experiencing financial difficulties. Even with our present pandemic, the NGO's have contributed greatly to many schools and families on the whole by sponsoring electronic devices to students of families who cannot afford. Therefore these institutions do play a critical role in assisting in their time of need. They certainly do play a unique part in the school-based team.

There are instances whereby financial support was given to enable teacher training workshops as well as  schools upgrading in terms of repainting and enhancing Learning and homework centers.  Through successful fund raisers schools were made accessible to all students, especially those who were physically  as well economically challenged hence the reason, education is for all.
