Activity 4.6 Can we do better? Kenya survey on improving school-family-community relationships

1. Those that are already done in my context include:

2. Providing information and workshops about community social support services

4. Working with professionals on specific social issues

6. Offering sessions on job opportunities

7. Organizing joint cultural and co-curricular events with local communities

2. Those that you think are important and you would like to see in my  context comprise:

1. Providing families with information about learning and tutoring 

3. Providing parents with a list of community organizations

3. Those which I am not sure about and will take longer to develop:

5. Working with families to find financial support for more education 

3. The social issues that other professionals could tackle more easily than a school are: funding for special programmes and obtaining of grants from Social Welfare.

These professionals would be people from the Banking Industry, Community Organizers, members of the Parents, Teachers Association (PTA) and Accountants.
