4.4 Partnership with stakeholders

Establishing a relationship with stakeholders outside the school environment creates a support system for the school. In order to have a successful inclusive school there must be working stakeholders outside the school who can lend assistance such as funding resources. These resources may vary as it relates to the physical structure of the school in terms of installing proper safety aids for the children ramps for wheelchairs, handrails and accessible toilets. Stakeholders should also be a part of the learning processes such as being involved in community visits to the school where they can play an integral role in events such as bazzars, sports day events, Christmas concerts and graduations.

Another important element in a school is having a guidance officer available to ensure that children can share their experiences as well as providing counselling sessions if necessary. This to can be provided by stakeholders in the community
