Activity 4.4 Outside Links

I would highlight how these links can have reaches which the school on its own may not have. When the community has a sense of belonging in a school there would be nothing they would not do to help with the children's development. Let's face it waiting on the Government to do anything at times would often take a while. If we use our initiative and source outside links, our goals towards inclusivity would happen much sooner.

4.4

There are many NGO  groups and organisation in Trinidad and Tobago that partners with school which help in physical structure , materials, donation towards school events, sponsorship towards competion, these are just a few to name. Accepting the community involement can benefit both ways.

Yes Gajadhar it is a fact that when schools work in partnership with community then much can be achieved in a short span of time unlike if school goes it alone. While a lot of support could come along the way, I see a challenge of duplication of say resources whereby partners involved could over provide in one area or one type of resource leaving out others. This situation can however be corrected if school is consulted in advance  to identify areas of greatest need and to what degree to enable balanced sharing of needs among stakeholders in question.
