What suggestions do you have to explain why Eshe is disrupting the class?
I believe that she is disrupting the class because:
Write a list of any way that the teacher could stop Eshe from misbehaving
To curb the behavior the teacher can:
1. She can introduce a behavioral chart/contract.
2. Change the seating position and place her in front/ next to her.
3. Assign a peer/buddy partner to her.
4. She can introduce the “now and then” system.
5. Assign her with responsibilities within the classroom.
6. Introduce the five point scale.
How could rewards be used to improve Eshe’s behavior?
1. With the use of the behavioral chart a sticker can be place under the recorded behavior, indicating that there was some improvement in that particular behavior.
2. Extra time should be given in an area/activity that she likes.
3. She could be place in front of the line for the day.
How can a school policy for behavior management help the teacher to know what to do?
1. It provides her with rules and procedures to function effectively.
What other support would the teacher benefit from?
The teacher would benefit from:
1. Training session/workshops in behavior management.
2. Consultation with previous and other teachers.
3. Parental support.
