Activity 1.6

The school in which I am employed under the Ministry of Education conducts professional development workshop for teachers every term. In 2019 there was a professional development workshop that I attended where officials from Student Support Services cheered the workshop. They provided vital information about special needs children and inclusion into our setting; some of which was already implemented in the school in which I work. These workshops have been very beneficial to me and have assisted me to grow and develop as a teacher. I used the training received to make a difference in the physical setting.

That sounds very interesting, Reanna. What kind of changes did you make to the physical environment in order to support inclusion? Please share some examples. It seems that your institution already has a positive culture and ethos regarding inclusion.
