1. The 4 key factors that the narrator says are important to create an inclusive ethos in school are:
Strong leadership
Whole staff commitment
Flexible management
Systematic approach to removing barriers in school.
2. A school that I am familiar with that displays these four factors is where I am employed. The ministry of Education implement a curriculum to cater for the needs of all children in our care. There is strong leadership planning and commitment from all the staff members, flexibility and approaches to removing barriers within the school.
3. Some needs of the disabled children that have been included in the class are: seating arrangements, visual aids, execution of sign language, planning differentiated work and cutting just to name a few.
4. Some qualities a teacher need to have in order to be able to help these children feel educated are as follows: training in special needs, must be supportive, patient, embracing and appreciation for disabled children and be willing to provide individual teaching.
5. Principals and teacher can plan and implement curriculum, strategies and activities to accommodate for all children; provide resources and aids to assist all children. School based support staff and principals must also provide strong leadership to best assist special needs children.
