Activity 1.1 Wave 2 interventions

Wave 2 interventions recognize that children with disablities have the potential to work at and above the academic level of their peers but to do so they will need direct intervention which is time specific.

I agree with this statement children with disabilities can work at the level of their peers or even higher if given the aloted time. In order to establish this as David said it deals with the collaboration of teachers, who come together to help each other plan strategies to make their teaching method better so that all type of learners can benefit and if administrators provide the materials and support to the staff in creating an inclusive school this would give all learners an opportunity to develop and achieve their full potential.

1.1 Wave 2 Intervention

I too agree that wave 2 refers to things that teachers can do collectively to support Inclusive Education. This takes place at school level.

It recognizes that children  with disabilities can learn and have the right to learn like their other other peers but they need the support and direct intervention from their teachers with appropriate resources and allocation of time spent with them .This gives them the  opportunity to feel included  in the learning process  so they contribute to society as productive and caring adults. Moreover to develop skills and achieve to their full potential

Wave 2 model recognizes that children with disabilities have the potential to work above level of their peers. Wave 2 is not sequential to wave 1 but runs parallel to wave 1 with the intention to support children to access quality education as in wave 1.
