Activity 4.2 Working with families

In my personal view, schools can effectively work with families if they learn to communicate better. There are times that parents may feel that educators and school staff talk down to them or speak in an educational jardon they do not understand. I believe that school staff should make every effort to reach out and communicate with parents in a clear way and listen to what they have to say.

To ensure that all parents have access to information, written material should be concise and easily readable. In retrospect, all schools should strive to become more parent-friendly.
