4.5 Practical benefits to schools of outside organisations

Itinerant teaching can be very rewarding and positive influence but can also be challenging for both teachers and learners. 

Creating and recreating schedules, conducting assessments, meeting and collaborating with a variety of teams, not to mention serving a wide range of students with varying ages, abilities and discernment can be overwhelming. 

Itinerant teaching is very rewarding, but it can present many challenges as well.

The Itinerant Teachers play an important role in the development of students with disabilities.

The benefits include:- increased number of children with disabilities enrolled to complete their schooling.

 Provide support for children with and families. 

Improve mainstreaming of disability in National Education Policies.

Training include:- Support for staff, developing classroom management strategies to manage with children behaviors. 

Resource making, assisting teachers with making materials to use in the classroom therefore creating a conducive for learning.  These resources will give more valuable directions and creative activity planning and teaching to the Teacher. 

The biggest challenges Itinerant Teachers face are :-

Lack of Funding

Getting Burnt out easily 

Lack of time for planning
