How can schools work with families?

Schools can work with families to continue to foster good working relationships for the benefit of the child.

  • Allowing parents to volunteer at school where and when necessary.
  • Encourage parents to work with their children on projects.
  • Presently with the pandemic, our school supported parents and continue to support parents by telephone, inquiring on the child's progress and if there are ways we can help

I agree Shaffie that there is a lot that families can do together with schools. Ideas like doing common projects with children  make families feel that they are welcome at school and 'own' what goes on at school.

Also having local area education officials have a focused and meaningful get together on invitation  by school can be very fulfilling to  teachers, learners, and everyone else .Such visits can boost morale of school members.
