What are the features of an Inclusive School

There are many features of an Inclusive school. Two main features that I advocate for are as follows: 1. Modified Curriculum and 2. Promotion of success and self esteem.  Modification of the school's curriculum provides the student with support based learning is is not teacher centered. students are allowed to work at their own pace and the strategies used is developed to promote learning for that particular student's need. Promotion of success and self esteem so that all all students academic or non academic are rewarded for their hard work.

An inclusive school should have continuous school based   teacher professional develoment programmes geared towards helpin teachers be able to identify specific learner needs , and devise professionally proven ways of addressing these needs.

From my experience, teachers  are often encouraged to team up with a visith specialist teacher at the school once in a while for purposes of getting updated knowledge, methodologies and even resources in their specific ares of initial trainin may be visual, hearning or  even speech disability. Though these peacemeal trainings may not be elaborat in nature  they are meant to enhance inclusivity.
