Activity 4.5 Practical befits to school of outside organizations

The school I work at gets sponsorship from some organization, but the one they work closely with is the health Centre. The children gets a termly visit from the dental nurse, the children love when they get this visit they are entertained with a puppet show that shows them the proper way to brush their teeth, they are then given a tooth brush, tooth paste and activity book to take home parents also get a booklet on healthy food. With this collaboration parents, teachers and children benefits for a better future in health and education.

We benefit from that as well. The nurses also ensure that students vaccines are updated and they leave a lot reading material for both parents and children on maintaining good health. The rapport between the school and the health facility is very good.

That is awesome!

The school I worked at had a couple opportunities of that but it was a one-off visit no serious vested interest.

But I will pursue that idea at a sponsorship level and see what happens. I think it is a nice opportunity to build corporate community relationships, wish me luck! (Crossed fingers)
