I read the book on features of an inclusive school and what it involves. I particularly found the section on what must governments do to ensure inclusive education.
Regarding the diagram on page 4, I have seen some cultural change with respect to diversity, however in terms of participatory learning there is more to be done. It is work in progress. Plans are in place to put more resources to continue to make the institution more inclusive.
For each aspect: Monitoring, systems, support and partnerships , that all come under Student Support Services Division work is being done. Special students are supported in schools. Personnel is identified to assist such students when they are identified in the school system. This programme is monitored closely until the child leaves secondary school. This division functions well along with other divisions in the Ministry of Education to ensure the welfare and development of all students.
