Activity 1.2 what make an inclusive school?

2 important features of an inclusive school.

1.       The positive attitude of its staff members. The positive attitude of the teachers towards each other and their vocation for teaching will reflect in their classroom management and interaction with students. Teachers should feel free to seek advice from colleagues as they work towards facilitating inclusion. Teachers show genuine care and concern for students by positive attitude should be welcoming to all students.

2.       The structure of the physical environment. Having read and looked at videos to me an inclusive school is one where all the teachers are trained, the building is equipped with ramps and railings giving children with mobility/physical disabilities the opportunity to move around safely and comfortably. The school should also have a resourceful resource room to meet the needs of all the children. Classrooms should be arranged in a way that allows the teacher and student free movement to get to one another without distracting each other.
