National Committee Recruitment

The National Committee is made up of students and young professionals who assist branches with guidance, support and training throughout the year.

The National Committee includes:

  • National Coordinator - they chair the National Committee and act as the channel between the National Committee and the Board of Trustees. 
  • National Treasurer - is responsible for SKIP's financial administration, bookkeeping and accounts.
  • National Training Coordinator - they assist branches in training their volunteers and organises national training events, based on our members' training needs.
  • National Research & Development Coordinator - supports the SKIP Branches in their research & development and helps to lead the reporting of SKIP's impact as a national charity. 
  • National Volunteer Welfare Coordinator - supports SKIP branches in their volunteer recruitment, coordinates the external volunteering scheme and supports volunteer welfare. 
  • National Global Health Lead - leads on SKIP's training and correspondence about the topic of global health and is our key point of contact with the charity Students For Global Health.
  • National Publicity Coordinator - is responsible for SKIP's public relations, social media and marketing. 
  • National Fundraising Coordinator  - supports branches in their fundraising and leads on fundraising for the national charity, ensuring both are held to a high ethical standard. 
  • National Events Coordinator - is responsible for organising our national events such as Big Weekend and the General Assembly. 
  • National Secretary- is responsible for SKIP publications and ensuring good administration and records of SKIP events.


A SKIP National Committee Member is elected by the General Assembly or appointed by the Board of Trustees. Members can serve a maximum of 3 years in total on National Committee. 


To be eligible to apply applicants must:

a) Be a student, or a graduate of less than 24 months, or be a current member of the National Committee

b) Be a member of SKIP, or have been a member of SKIP within the last 24 months

c) Have attended at least one General Assembly Meeting or National Big Weekend

d) Have basic knowledge of the structure, function and relations of SKIP.
