Get to know the TPACK model

Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) is a model that attempts to identify and describe the kinds of knowledge needed by teachers to effectively incorporate technology in their teaching.

TPACK is essential when talking about Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL), as it incorporates the growing demand on the use of technology in the classroom as well as continuing the focus on the content and how to teach it. The focus of the model is to understand the nature of knowledge needed by a teacher for effective pedagogical practice in a technology enhanced learning environment.

"It is not just about technology, it is about pedagogy"

Technology Enhanced Learning is not just a matter of making technology available, it is also about how technology is used and what type of learning experiences it supports.
