Find Out What Readers Talk About Online

View

Your audience is already telling you what they want; you just need to listen.

Visit online communities such as Reddit, Quora, and Facebook groups related to your field. Read through the questions people ask and the problems they describe.

Notice how they phrase their frustrations. Their exact words are valuable because they show how your future readers think and speak.

For instance, if you’re a relationship coach, you might see dozens of posts asking, “How do I stop arguing with my partner?” That tells you a specific pain point. If you’re a wellness coach, people might post, “Why can’t I stay motivated to eat healthy?”

Those questions hint at emotional and practical challenges you can address in your book.

Keep notes on recurring questions, struggles, and goals. The more often a topic appears, the higher the demand for a book about it.

Your goal is to find that sweet spot between what people are asking for and what you’re passionate and qualified to teach.
