Watch Parties
Important Information

If you are planning to host a watch party style event (e.g. for University Challenge) please let us know in advance.

Content should not be 'live streamed', e.g. sharing your screen of an on-demand service like BBC iPlayer, under any circumstances. We do not have the relevant public broadcasting licence to do this. Any watch parties should involve attendees watching the programme on their own television or device, and the meeting space is just a place for attendees to chat to each other while watching on their own devices.
Whilst we cannot endorse specific platforms to create watch parties, there are some websites that students have chosen to use on their devices which includes a group chat function.
Streaming music
Please note: Music cannot be streamed during events, even if individuals listen to it on their own devices simultaneously with others.
We do not have a music licence to do this.
