Dear participants,
welcome to the Boot Camp, a pilot project run by the Department of Languages at the Open University for those who have studied L120 during the 13J presentation and those who have already registered for the L211 14J presentation.
We hope that you meet and engage with your fellow "campers" and enjoy the experience. You can expect to get as much out of this event as you put into it ;-)
The materials are mostly for self-study and to trigger exchanges among all participants in the three different forums - the General Forum, the Grammar Forum, and the Tutorial Forum - which will be monitored by a tutor.
You do not have to work though all the resources - feel free to pick and mix as suits you best - but we strongly suggest that you take part in the tutorial sessions in OULive and listen and interact with the Bitesize recordings including the relevant threads in the Grammar Forum.
Feel free to point to other resources you have found and have been using to practice and improve your French. What you find here, on the Boot Camp site, is partly also for inspiration to go out and look for other useful "stuff" on the "ether" :-)
Last but not least: when you go into OULive you will probably be asked whether you want to "keep" and/or "run" files while the system is trying to launch. Please "keep" and "run" and you will get there in a few minutes.
Are you ready?
We are ready for you and are looking forward to working with you.
Here is a recording with a short introduction to the team members and your tutors.
Bon courage!
The Boot Camp Team
