Show the following fractions in simplest form, where possible:

  • a. 25 divided by 75

     

  • b. 12 divided by 36

     

  • c. 72 divided by 96

     

  • d. 32 divided by 48

     

  • e. five divided by 126

     

  • f. 164 divided by 256

Answer

  • a. 25 divided by 75  =  one divided by three

     

  • b. 12 divided by 36  =  one divided by three

     

  • c. 72 divided by 96  =  three divided by four

     

  • d. 32 divided by 48  =  two divided by three

     

  • e. five divided by 126  can’t be simplified

     

  • f. 164 divided by 256  =  41 divided by 64
