WHY: Following two very successful biannual conferences, feedback from our delegates and supporters have led us to conclude that this type of platform is both innovative and essential and requires an ongoing effort to secure a structured, organised and accessible  space for Hip Hop Education.

WHAT: Our aim is to document, engage with and share the knowledge and lived experiences gathered at the conferences and future events in an accessible manner.

HOW: We aim to operate on both digital and physical spaces by working with those who share an interest in advocating and exploring the cultural elements of Hip Hop cultures as an educational tool.

Digitally - by creating content for our digital platform such as websites, social media and forums
Physically - by collaborating with OU  departments, staff and student networks, external artists, institutions and organisations.

WHEN: We aim to create a network that allows for ongoing work and structured events.

Ongoing work

Inviting the global community to collaborate on, join, interact and network through online events  (and where geographically possible invite students, staff, and members of the public to attend in person at the Open University campus and other supportive local venues).

Biannual Conference/Symposium

Host selected academics, artists, performers and speakers at a biannual event held at the Open University campus in Milton Keynes.
