Many young people are increasingly becoming marginalised, having to contend with a multitude of social ills and risks: crime, violence, substance misuse, fragile families, homelessness, and limited access to education and welfare services.
To understand some of the problems these young people can face today, step into the shoes of Tyler and Rafi and live a day of their life in our ‘What would you do’ interactive.
Please note, that this interactive contains depictions of racism, which you may find upsetting.
In this free course, Working with young people: roles and responsibilities, we look at the roles that are taken when working with young people. We focus on what those working with young people actually do, starting with some analysis of roles. We show that, in the context of work with young people, the term is more than simply a statement about ... How should we, as a society, best respond to and prevent gang and knife crime and violent extremism? This free course will
introduce you to the many ways of working with children in trouble with the
law. You will learn about the emergence of the youth justice system in England
and Wales and how it has changed over the years. A comparative approach provides
opportunities to learn about the approaches taken in Northern Ireland and
Scotland. ...Like this? Try a FREE course
