    • Welcome to ZEST Research and Impact materials collection

ZEST Research is focused around four major themes. During a six-year project working to enhance the existing system for School-based Continuing Professional development (SBCPD) in Zambia we have used quantitative and qualitative methods to investigate different aspects of the provision.

Click on the Content tab above to access the research:

Theme 1: Does enhanced SBCPD work?

Theme 2: What is the impact of Raspberry Pi computers in schools?

Theme 3: What models of school leadership support effective SBCPD?

Theme 4: Implementing School-based continuing professional development and the impact on teachers and learners

This SBCPD programme has been developed in Zambia in collaboration with the Ministry of General Education, with the input of 600 teachers and District Officials from Central Province. It is supported by The Open University (UK) and World Vision Zambia, funded by The Scottish Government. The content is made available under the Open Government Licence v3.0 http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/doc/open-government-licence/
