Terrifying

For many of my patients, the diagnosis is terrifying. Many of them can't imagine living a life where they aren't able to have the independence and quality of life that they are used to. Most people want to do "exercises" to fix the problem and regain function. Many struggle with the loss of identify and fear/uncertainty of the future and leaving love ones behind. It is also a struggle for the carers and family of individuals with MND, especially as the physical and functional needs increase.
