Hi,

my name is Lorenz and I work for a government body in Germany. We estalbished a city network and try to support cities with the implmentation of restrictive climate change mitigation measures in a mobility context, like redistributing space away from motorized individual traffic towards climate-friendly mobility options. These are usually very contorversial, therefore a good date base supporting our arguments is very helpful. Visualisations make it easier to understand for lay man, such as local politicians, to understand a complex topic and might help supporting a mobility vision.

I am interestedin this course because I hope to learn new pragmatic visualization skills that will come in handy at my day-to-day work.

Cheers,

Lorenz

Hello Lorenz, The case you present is very interesting and relevant to many cities in Europe that already committed to or are just considering the shift toward greener mobility. If you already have interesting examples (visualisations, case studies) to share, we would be happy to publish on the PoliVisu Toolbox.

Hello,

I work mainly with Gis and databases. So I am interested in how big data can help for mobility and other questions using e.g. big data from telecom-operators.

Hello Filip, that's great. You may find our Ghent case study especially interesting as they used data from Proximus for policy making.
