Ethos and Culture

Two factors that are effective in contributing to an inclusive ethos and culture are:

  • A strong relationship between parents and the staff.
  • The school and the community.

I have experienced where the collaboration between these particular entities created an atmosphere for all the children attending the school. As the teachers were welcoming to the parents, parents became active and supportive with anything the school had planned. The staff encouraged parents to be part of the planning and execution.

In regards to the community, they were there to lend support for financial aids and so much more.  As a result, the school appreciated the effort the community made and it did impact positively within the school.
