Policies for an Inclusive Ethos

Policy #2: The support that teachers provide in the classroom.

The above policy that I saw in action was when I engaged in Practicum at a preschool. I saw the teachers added Braille labels in the different learning centers and labelling all resources in Braille. In addition, the teachers included the child with the visual impairment in Physical Education by attaching a small bell on the ball when the child had to play catch and cricket. The teachers collaborated to meaningfully include this child. In addition, the letters of the Alphabet were made into Braille. For every learning activity, the teachers made sure to involve the child effectively. In addition, the student had an Aide which provided support services.
