Activity 1.4 Developing Positive Attitudes

The concept of special needs has to be normalized. Matters surrounding the topic should be discussed in attempt to raise awareness. Raising awareness helps to minimize the stigma and discrimination associated with differently abled children. 

Teachers should be properly trained to deliver a curricular to meet the needs of the child. There should be follow up sessions, to ensure implementation and execution of strategies learned.

In this way. it adds truth to the saying, "it takes a village to raise a child."
