The workshops I attended in the past was primarily on improving interventions for students with emotional challenges linked to self harm, suicidal ideation, etc. Students who for one reason or another do not have supportive environments (home, school, community) or lack resources can be more at risk to dealing with emotional challenges. One thing that is common between this current workshop and previous ones is that it's a multi disciplinary approach to the intervention. Support is needed from all stakeholders within the child's environment. I've found this current workshop quite beneficial.
