Activity 1.2

Two important features of an inclusive school are :-

Teacher attitude

Adaptation of the physical environment/layout of the school.

I am very fortunate to be attached to a Government school where the physical environment caters for children with disabilities.  Our school has a ramp, a large special needs toilet with railings, padded support room and various equiptment and materials, that support Howard Gardener's theory of multliple intelligences.  Also my Administrator, co-worker and I sit and discuss on a regular basis, any challenges we may be facing and together we plan statergies geared towards ensuring that no child is left behind.
