Professional Development Experience

As an educator, I have been invited to several workshops that added to my knowledge and led to the development of my professionalism in the field of early childhood care and education. I have benefited tremendously from all the workshops I have attended because I personally believe I am open-minded when it comes to learning new information and susceptible to change. For example, I participated in an activity plan workshop where I learnt how to prepare effective and meaningful activity plans and topic webs. When I returned to the early childhood classroom environment I was able to plan and implement activities that were developmentally appropriate for young children. Attending the workshop also built my confidence and self-esteem in my professional field. Therefore, I no longer questioned my ability when it comes to planning activities.
