School for the Blind provides support while this Institution does not offer direct assistance to the school system. It is more of an all-inclusive establishment that offers modified education to guide school-aged blind children. Some of the education services offered by the Blind Welfare Association of Trinidad and Tobago are: Counseling, Referrals to Medical Doctors, Rehabilitation, Leisure Activities, Blindness Prevention, Socialization Programme, Library Services, School for Blind Children, Daily Living Skills, Mobility and Orientation, Social and Communication Skills, Vocational Counseling and Social Welfare Assistance, There are three workshops which are attached to the Association's Branches. Various crafts in basketry, chair caning and seagrassing are manufactured and taught to Blind students such as furniture building. Those of the Blind who are unemployed have a chance to display their works of art at each Association's showrooms.
