As I was reading through this unit, an advertisement that was on television came back to me where a postal courier carried a pension cheque for an elderly lady and her granddaughter was there sitting on the ground colouring and making noise, the child had some sort of special needs. And he was encouraging the grandmother to enroll her in a school and she was against it and said "no one can take care of her but me". What is needed here is a cultural change, where individual will see their children with a disability just as important to a child without and measures need to be put in place so that parents can come willingly to society knowing they would get the proper care for their children.
