Last year, I participated in an online course called Using Open Educational Resources for Online Learning. This course allowed me to be aware of the different virtual platforms that I can use in my teaching. In addition, I was able to understand the benefits and disadvantages of using different virtual platforms to teach. It was the first time that I knew the different features of Zoom. To date I use this platform in my practice. This course allowed me to think differently in relation to how effectively I can virtually support learners and parents. I am thankful having done this course because I learnt how to select and evaluate open resources and how to best include them in the instructional process. I leant that I can create online, interactive worksheets. Having done this course have contributed significantly to my instructional delivery.
