Some In-Service Professional Development workshop that I have experienced and felt very effective were:

1) Resource Making for the Early Childhood Care and Education Environment. This course was for three days in the month of July 2019 and we were shown different ways in which you can use recyclable materials to enhance our learning environment to meet the needs of the children using themes or project. We worked in groups and presented and we visited other groups in different classes to get ideas. The administrators at our Centre also would encourage us to put resources in the different learning Centres on a weekly basis as a teaching aid to develop a skill in the child.

2) Science, Technology, Research, Engineer, Art and Mathematics (STREAM) in ECCE was another course for one day in which we learnt how to integrate in our curriculum  when planning activities for our children at school. When preparing these activities, the administrator will review the Activity plans to see if we have incorporated STREAM and make recommendation where necessary. The focus on these activities were on the process.
