Activity 1.7

An inclusive feature that we initiated in our school was that of parental involvement in daily activities.  Parents are always informed of what was done on any given day and sometimes some aspect of the work or follow up to what was done is sent home on an evening.  We found that this gave parents a better understanding of what was currently being done with the children.  Owing to this we noticed and improvement in the quality of education, as parents were now able to review with their children what was done and give some follow through to help children better understand and remember more.  This feature works as a support system which allows for questions to be answered and everyone being on the same page as to what is happening.  This gives us the chance also to help parents see the strength or weakness of their child, so if any remedial recommendation is needed then it is accepted easier by parents rather than just informing them that there is something wrong.
