Activity 1.4- Developing Positive Attitudes.

Developing a positive attitude is key to inclusion. Teachers need to model and display positive attitudes towards challenged or special learners because, all learners have the inherent right to an education, they are  unique, come with diverse needs, progress at different developmental levels and should be treated with equity, equality and allowed to feel a sense of belonging.

In addition, positive attitudes must come from all stakeholders namely: administrators, teachers, parents. Parents need to display positive attitude by taking an active role in their child's learning. Also, the whole school approach is needed; all aspects of the school, teachers, parents and community working together to assist with inclusion or a more inclusive environment.
