Reflecting on the 5 aspects of Inclusive Education:
1. Monitoring- formative assessment ( checklist) is used on a termly basis as well as hosting Parent Teacher conference meetings.
2. Partnership-This is done through one and one open communication and letters but due to the new normal it takes the form of whatsapp forum, emails, and phone calls with parents and partners in the community.
3. Cultural Change- Different celebrations are observed, teachings on the different culture and religion are being highlighted throughout the school year.
4. Support- Teachers act as facilitators and mentors ensuring students needs are met holistically. Also, the teacher scaffolds students learning to make it easier to with hold new information in the school setting.
5. Systems- Commitment and dedication is shown by staff as well as the ministry bodied ensuring the necessary training and skills be provided to teachers to promote learning. However, resources are limited by the ministry body but the teachers provide the necessary materials needed on a daily basis to students.
