Activity 1.4

As I recall, there was a student attending my school with a disability and the child was in no way treated unfairly while at school but rather equally as the other students as he would attempt tasks independently like packing away his belongings, using the washroom on his own, etc.  However, the parents expected that their child be treated differently because of his disability.  This was overcomed by having numerous one on one meetings with the parents. In all, the attitude was given by the parent and not by the teacher or the student.  As an educator, it is crucial for teachers to have positive attitudes in and out the inclusive environment in order to maintain the standard of learning.
