Activity 1.4 Developing Positive Attitude

A mother had great concerns before enrolling her down syndrome son at our Centre. She did not believe the teachers had the capability to  meet the needs of her son. She was also fearful of the children reactions towards him. 

The child was introduced to the staff and children. The children did not look at him as different, they interacted very well together. The teachers collaborated, did their research, and use strategies to meet the needs of the child. By using these measures the child felt a sense of belonging and was determine to keep going whenever he encounter challenges.
