What I have taken from Chapter 2 of the TESSA IE Toolkit

To be an inclusive teacher you need to:

·        Be flexible and adaptive.

·        Model the behaviour you want to see.

·        Be sensitive to the language we use and be fair in the ways we treat             our students.

·        Be observant.

·        Be mindful of our personal attitudes, values and actions and how it                 affects our children’s emotional state.

·        Remember that each child is different and we should help them                     celebrate their diversity in an atmosphere of love and respect.

·        Respect each child’s contribution to the group.
