One aspect of the material that I like is using the local environment. Children can relate when we refer to practices with which they are familiar and in doing so, they are more willing to participate and make contributions at certain junctures of the lesson.

One aspect that may be challenging is engaging parents and caregivers. Some in-class activities may require the student to complete at home, needing the assistance of parents. While some have no problem assisting, others neglect for one reason or the other and that attitude is extended to teachers when calls for the parent to communicate with educators are ignored.
