Positively Managing Behaviours

One strategy that worked for me is acknowledging positive behaviour. For example I would say I like the way Emily is setting nicely with her legs crossed and her hands on her knees, listening attentively to the story. Good job Emily! The child who is not doing that wants that praise so they would try to imitate that same behaviour to get that praise. When they do I would acknowledge the change in their behaviour.
