Activity 4.10: End of course assessment - Bringing it all together

The two main things that I will take from this course are as follows:

1. Inclusion is not a one size fits all band-aid. Its is case by case in nature and works best through trial and error process. each learners needs are different whether they may have special needs or not and it is the job of the teacher to try to make each learners experience the best one possible

2. "Learning study" - I have always loved the old adage "it takes a village to raise a child". The idea of working collaboratively with a team of other teachers and or professional in the field of education is a great one. Having a community of people where its ok to have open discourse about challenges faced, ways to combat these challenges is motivating. The learning study not only creates a cesspool of ideas but these ideas inform and guide teaching practice which results in activities that are better suited to learners needs and has a higher chance of success.

Activity 4.10 End of Course Assessment - Bringing it all together

1. By raising awareness of how important it is to establish the programme of Inclusivity is so that equal opportunity is granted to all students. Awareness helps the school to be better equipped to deal with the challenges of all learning types so that none feels left out. Therefore, when you raise the level of awareness to Teachers and Students, you are helping to develop a positive ethos of the school.

2. Championing the cause for special equipment in the school to accommodate wheelchairs and other types of physical impairment necessities.

Attachment

This course has taught me a lot of things some which is already implemented at the school  in which i work in.Being an inclusive teacher with professional development I need to show empathy to my learners, I have learnt that all learners must be treated equally, and teachers must go be young the call.

Teachers should display a passion for their job, and make it fund.Having completed this course it encourages me to do more reflection especially as the school is lock down , teaching and learning is blended. It helps me to become computer savvy I am able to reach all of my parents through the whats app. group, and extend my hand in the best way i can.  have always love the song bring back the old time days ''by Nappy Meyers''.School should be provided with  the necessary equipment needed to facilitated learning .
