Working with families is a top priority in a known school setting and such families, as well as other stakeholders, were welcomed as partners with an open door policy in place. At the school, teachers and parents were active in a variety of ways, including parent-teacher group meetings, parental workshops/family seminars, family classroom volunteers, parent/teacher monitors, parent class representatives, parent-teacher conferences, and parent-teacher co-curricular activities. The school and families worked together on a daily basis to ensure the school's success, and partnerships were fostered, strengthened, and established as a result of the school's ongoing collaboration with families. This collaboration has had such a significant effect on everyone at that school.
