In the past I had the opportunity to be part of a drama class while doing some studies. That moment took me back to my childhood with all the fun loving games we played in the evening. I also had the chance to really discover some wonderful icebreaker activities. Later on I was part of a professional development workshop that used drama and music as a teaching tool . This workshop had me trilled and desiring for more, even though I used music and drama in teaching before my interest peeked .I was amazed to see a simple rhythm could captivate a child's attention and lessons could be taught ,it was also really fascinating to see how a few dance steps could make one feel so empowered and finally how a different theme emerged through drama from our everyday nursery rhymes and stories.
I continued by making sure to use drama, dance and music during many of my teaching moments. I also integrate them in other groups outside of teaching. I had so much fun.
