School Inclusion Policy

My favourite policy that should be included in the school inclusion policy is:

all children with disabilities have extra help from peers in lessons.

This really helps to build peer relationships. Students are given the opportunity to learn about each other, how to assist each other and be understanding of the needs of others. They learn that they may be different but they still have similarities, similar likes and/or dislikes. As the student begins to help the one with the disabilities it may also strengthen his/her skills. There is a great sense/lesson learnt on 'I am my brother's keeper'.
