Activity 1.5 Creating an inclusive ethos and culture

Activity 1.6

Two factors that I think are particularly effective in contributing to an inclusive ethos and culture are; a positive attitude by all stakeholders towards inclusive learning and teaching and the development of a curriculum that reflects different cultures.

Activity 1.5

I agree  that  curriculum plays an important part as well as positive attitude by all stakeholders.  Another factor that assist in creating an inclusive ethos and culture is the Physical Environment that caters to the type of learner present as well as safe and welcoming.

Creating an inclusive ethos and culture

Activity 1.5 -Creating an inclusive ethos and culture

One Factor that I think is very effective in contributing in an inclusive ethos and culture is the development and professional training for teacher and administrator, which is very vital in this over whelming world. It promotes a great opportunity for inclusion and it allows sharing support and ideas to everyone.

Another factor is creating an inclusive ethos and culture is when the administrators, teachers, parents and the community members along with stakeholders work together with one common goal. This binds the role each plays and strengthens them together. It sets the stage for quality education and allows each child to reach their full potential. Parents, teachers show by being sensitive to families diversity and value each child uniqueness. Parents knows their child best.

Hi;

I agree with your post and i also believe that teacher need to have a positive attitude, embrace and accept diversity and inclusion in their schools. Definitely, the curriculum must be structured to facilitate diversity and inclusion as well.

Two very strong points that I agree with, because without a positive attitude from all stakeholders and a well developed curriculum the learners would not develop to their full potential.

1.5 Creating an inclusive ethos and culture

I agree like we have been told in our reading that "ethos" of a school is determined by the values and attitudes of those that work there and emerges from actions ,roles and structures within the organisation

surely we need to create Positive attitude by developing and training teachers and administrators .Doing this will allow Inclusion practices to grow in the school environment with a more positive mind set.The sharing and encouraging team work amongst staff members is vital.

Moreover creating team work with school staff,families and caregivers,community people ,stakeholders and Learners of the school is very important too. Creating a good positive attitude within these various groups helps to develop a better understanding of each other,respect of each other ,it creates awareness amongst each other they can help each other in the learning process of the Learners

Therefore it is vital that each group contributes to foster inclusive learning and enhance a Inclusive environment.Supporting each other and respecting each others uniqueness in how we learn with or without disability.
