Activity 1.5 Creating an inclusive ethos and culture

An inclusive school should be able to recognise all student's right to a learning experience that respects diversity, enables participation, removes barriers and anticipates and considers a variety of learning needs and preferences. As a teacher who have dealt with a special need child, this was very hard, as I had no experience, help and the environment did not support this student to have an equal learning opportunity. In my opinion I believe two factors that can effectively contribute to an inclusive ethos and culture are;

·         Training of teachers, as well as school personnel and the home.

·         Preparing a school environment that is both effective and       functional for students who have special learning needs.
